Why Don'T Voters Vote?

In the current U.S. political environment, the right to vote is frequently taken for granted. While voting rights have expansively broadened over the past two hundred years, the ability to vote has not necessarily been fully utilized. Suffrage, or the right to vote, has been increasingly diversified through Constitutional amendments and policy modification, but in recent years the nation has experienced a significant decrease in voter turnout.
When the Constitution was ratified in 1787, most Americans were not allowed to vote. The individual states determined the qualifications by which its voters were granted suffrage and most citizens did not meet these qualifications. Women...
