What you are about to read is a revised version of a flier I began passing out amongst local schools within the Kennewick School District. Posted in a public discussion forum on the “Mothers against WASL’s” official website, it stood as my voice in a first attempt in being heard outside the realm of my local community.
On April 21, 2009 my 12-year-old, son and sixth grade student at Highlands Middle School was forced to remain in his classroom after he was refused the right to use the restroom while being administered the state WASL test.
